The RF Locker scripts are designed
to provide security for your RF remotes. Allows you to "lock" your
remotes so you must enter a secret code sequence before they can
be used. |

This script for HomeSeer goes out
to NOAA weather site and gets the weather forecast. It outputs to
weather.html and places a link to the file in a device. The link
will open a small popup window to display weather.html. |

Maintain a shopping list using VR. Two scripts

Update 8/20, HomeSeer can now read the shopping list back to you.

Updated TvListing script. Use VR/IR
to retrieve and speak tv program listings and program details. Or
to change channels and record programs. IR not fully tested. Updated
to support the day of the week. Such as "What's on channel 244 at
9pm on Saturday?" Must be using HomeSeer 1.4.5 or better. |

Let two motion detectors
to control one light. Either motion detector can turn the light
on but both motion detectors have to send off before the light will
go off. This was designed for rooms that are either shaped wrong
or are too big for one motion detector to cover the whole room.
There is also a way to lock the light on. |

Simple HomeSeer caller ID. You will need to know
your modem's caller id enable command. HomeSeer 1.4 or better.
Won't work with older versions. New setup changes needed
if you ran an older version.
Supports name reading, or lookup from a table.
Can run an event when particular number is seen.

HomeSeer utility function/subs. These
are used in other scripts but all together here if you want them
separate. Currently has:
readLine: Read cr/lf delimited lines from a string
getParms: Fake out HS to pass parameters to your scripts!
readDict: Read name=value pairs from a file.

| Light_Control2_Quiet.txt |

Paul Fielding |
Based on the script by Glenn Reimche, this one
is configured for more flexible voice commands, and also allows
for setting of absolute dim values in addition to relative Dim.
Requires ut.zip.
|
| acknowledge.txt |
1/24/00 |
Glenn Reimche |
Lets HomeSeer speak random acknowledgements to
voice commands. Lets you add a little variety if you like having
your computer talk to you.
Easy to add / remove phrases, also will optionally and randomly
add your name to the acknowledgment.
|
| Light_Control.txt |
1/24/00 |
Glenn Reimche |
One script to handle voice command
of ON/OFF and DIM/BRIGHT (including percentage values) of a light.
Through parameter passing, this script may be used for any light
without editing. Also an example of using optional words and groups
in a voice command, as yet undocumented.
You need ut.zip and, optionally, acknowledge.txt |
| On_Off_toggle.txt |
1/19/00 |
Glenn Reimche |
Script uses Rick LaBanca's email
parameter passing technique (dowload ut.zip as well), meaning one
script can handle all devices generically. No need to write a separate
script for each device. This could be modified for any action(s)you
might want to perform on multiple devices. |
| news_retrieval.txt |
12/26/99 |
Steve C. |
This is a news retrieval script that downloads
news stories off the internet and reads them back to you. The
script asks you to choose between eight different types of news:
Top Stories, World, Business, Sports, Technology, Science, Health,
and Politics. Eight types of news all in one handy script!

| attention.txt |
11/06/99 |
Rick LaBanca |
This does two things for speech recognition.
First, it changes the way attention works. You
get its attention, and do as many commands as you like until you
put it to sleep (i.e. "wake up" "turn outside on"
"turn lamp on" "good-bye").
Second, the script will change to a user based
on the attention phrase (i.e. "this is Rick" "hello
Rick" will have set the user to Rick for subsequent commands).
See script for details. Helpful for male vs. female users.
** Note that this won't work unless named as
directed in the script's instructions **

| blackice.txt |

Rick LaBanca |
If you own BlackIce this script
will trigger any event if someone attack your computer. BlackIce is a firewall
like component to protect you from hackers, recommended! |
