Here is some important info on X10 gift certificates. If you have been saving those X10 gift certificates for a rainy day forget it! They expire within 30 day of receiving the e-mail gift certificate from X10! Check the rules here: http://www.x10.com/gift/gift_how.htm So if you were planning on buying from X10 and have a gift certificate from X10 you better use them before the fade away! |

I just got a Presidents day email Gift Certificate from our friends at X10 for $17.96 to be redeemed by tomorrow. If you add in the $40 Gift Certificate on an XCAM2, it looks like I can get another one for about $22 net. Is this a good deal? Even if you throw out the camera, the Xmit/Recievers are pretty versatile. This sounds like a deal.

Go to http://www.x10.com/gift/gift_how.htm and read rule #5 which says only one Gift Voucher can be used per order. I made the same assumption that you could add them until I tried to order and found out I was wrong. |

I got the same $17.96 certificate but when I placed my order, it didn't get used, though I was careful to follow the directions. I've written back to them to try to get it straightened out, but I bet they don't get back to me today, and then it'll be too late...

I had the same thing happen to me and I called X10 on 1-800-675-3044 and they corrected the problem. Good Luck! |

I replied to the email and they promised to fix it. I'll let you know if it doesn't work that way.

They messed up my order and shipped without applying the gift certificate which they now call a voucher. When I called they said they could not access the data on my order because of the overwhelming response to the gift certificate program, and suggested that I call back next week when they expect to be caught up. I'll keep you updated on this mess as it unfolds. |

X10 finally got their voucher/gift certificate system caught up with their order system, and they said they will credit my card for the amount of the vouchers they did not apply to my previous order.I'm wondering how many people got X10's Leap Year gift voucher? X10 sent me one for $12 and said in their e-mail that it was a Leap Year gift! BUT it expires on 2-29 at MIDNITE. Oh no those "Expires at Midnight" things again! I ordered online today and it looks as though they have improved the voucher order process. They now show the discount when the order is tallied. A much better setup! It didn't. No sign of the voucher, even though they promised they'd take care of it. I hope they really do take care of it this time. |

Me too! I'll let you know about my results also. ThanksThe new online voucher setup discounts the item right away so this should not be a problem in the future. [This message has been edited by Carol (edited 02-29-2000).] |

I got the Leap Year $12 voucher too. Not bad considering to date all I got was the Firecracker deal. The voucher system finally started working Sunday, so I ordered an extra lamp module. Probably 10 minutes after I got the confirmation email for my order, I got another one saying I hadn;t used the voucher and it was going to expire 2/29/00 at midnight..hmm...------------------ -Randy |

No, the original order confirmation showed nothing about the gift voucher, however I received a second emal right after the order confirm that was also from the x10 order confirmation address that said my voucher was accepted and would be applied during the next 2 day cycle (?) Any idea what that menas? Does it mean they charged me the $12.99 for the module, then will credit my card with the $12 from the voucher? Seems an odd way to do things, but hey, as long as I'm getting a lamp module for 99 cents.. |

I just ordered a wireless camera an (X-10) 2 cam or something like that. I never received my (SO CALLED) discount, and was billed for the full price on my bank card Thinking that with my voucher discount I would barely have enough money in my bank card account to cover the bill. Well I was billed the full price and it caused my account to be overdafted. So besides not getting the discount, my bank ends up charging me $29.00 for the overdraft fee. There goes my voucher discount, plus another $15.00 dollars or so.Instead of discount it ends up costing me more,(HECK OF A DEAL!)would'nt you say??? ------------------
